| College opens doors on two different areas of study |
The 'Animal Care and Environmental Studies' open day will take place at the college's impressive Taylor Hill Centre in Newsome. The day will offer more than just course information, but fun for all the family and a chance to see how students learn to care for a variety of animal species, ranging from iguanas to horses; and a tour of the award winning eco-friendly facilities. The 'Construction Studies' open day will be held at the Brunel House Centre, Huddersfield. Visitors will be given the opportunity to access valuable information about the courses on offer from one of the top providers in the region, in terms of success rates, facilities and courses. The public will be able to view demonstrations; learn about the wide range of apprenticeships on offer and how to get involved, as an employer or an apprentice; tour the Centre’s workshops; and talk to current students and course tutors. Stephen Finney, Animal Care Subject Sector Leader at Kirklees College said: "We are delighted to open our doors and invite the public to explore our eco-friendly centre, which is home to all kinds of animals. The Animal Care open day really is fun for all the family! We have a range of courses that suit a variety of interests, including Animal Care and Countryside Management, why not come and see if there's something for you?"
